I practice full-spectrum family medicine, and I am especially interested in managing chronic pain, integrative medicine and medical-legal partnerships. Following several years in private practice in rural Massachusetts, I was offered a faculty position in a family medicine residency program in Arizona in 1986. I rapidly became enthralled with teaching and academic medicine, and I have since spent the last 30+ years in faculty roles in five different family medicine training programs, serving mostly as program director.
I’ve been married for 36 years, and I have three daughters. I enjoy listening to and playing stringed instruments, and I’ve recently taken up writing music.
