I am board certified in pediatrics, internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. Before joining North Country HealthCare I treated patients at Fort Defiance on the Navajo Reservation from 2000 to 2005. I also previously worked at Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) and was named the 2011 Flagstaff Medical Center Physician of the Year. In 2014 I was elected as the president of medical staff at FMC.
I became North Country’s Chief Medical Officer this year. In addition to my position at North Country, I am also a hospice co-director and I’m on the Advisory Board of Goodwill. I am a champion for quality end-of-life care, and I believe in integrating family members into the medical care process. I am passionate about offering a holistic approach to caring for all my patients – whether newborns or elderly.
I grew up in Colorado and Nebraska, and I spent my summers as a kid “detassling corn and walking beans” in the fields. I love to mountain bike during my free time.
